Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City is gonna open their doors on 16 September 2011. The building has different spaces for diverse shows and public gatherings.

An amazing structure from the outside and also from the inside that ensures the most glorious views of the Missouri city. The structure is dominated thru two sell forms and a sparkling glass wall. This shows what incredible things the human brains can design and hands can build. A beautiful flower in the concrete jungle.

Robo-Rainbow is one of Akay’s art instruments. Akay himself calls it “a complicated technical solution to aide in simple acts of vandalism”. It is a battery powered board controlling servos which applies pressure to the spray can nozzles together with a remote controlled power drill which turns arms in a circular motion. This complicated looking tech draws a beautiful rainbow.

It’s make me smile when I see it, something what is looking pretty freaky giving some amazing results. It is fast and is a incredible way to give ugly places a new warm look. The nice side of vandalism. The idea of a complicated machine making something so simple and making you feel like a child again. Sit down for a moment and let yourself feel the power of a rainbow.
